Hi.
Looks like your child is having csom and it is because of hole in the tympanic membrane. What you should do is to see that not even a single drop of water enters the ear once you have put the antibiotic ear drops. You should take some cotton and and smear with either vaseline or oil and plug the ear so that the cotton does get soaked in water.

Pls continue s. Mucolyte. And beware it is not safe to change or alter or add medication by you. It's registered medical practising doctor shall do so that too after seeing the child. Follow up is must after 3-5 days for such issues.

Amrox-ls syrup is a combination of three medicines: ambroxol, levosalbutamol/levalbuterol and guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus. Ambroxol is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out. Levosalbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways. Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.
