Ibugesic is contraindicated in Asthma or any cough and cold.
Paracetamol is a safer option for fever in such conditions.
Wish your daughter good health.

Dear Lybrate User, Your problem has two solutions
First ask your pediatrician about Yearly Quadrivalent Flu Vaccine, to prevent seasonal infections.
Second if the condition is almost same the whole year round, a Regular Inhaler (instead of SOS Nebuliser Therapy) would be more advisable, to keep child healthy and in sync with with his growth & development issues.
Wishing Your son Good Health.

I am 23 year old female. I'm known asthmatic since childhood and had been mild and not frequent. Recently I contracted covid 3 months ago and from day-10, asthma attacks started everyday. I used seroflo 250 twice a day for almost 15 days. Then I was put on oral steroids for 10 days, preventive inhaler and montemac lc by doctor. Despite the use of oral steroids, it was persistent. Then I was advised to use budesonide inhalers and montemac lc everyday. Now its been 3 months, if ever I miss montemac lc/inhalers even a single day, I feel shortness in my breath and so much of pressure/tightness in my chest. Recently montemac lc is replaced with montair fx because of dizziness problem. My questions are 1) how long do I need to take montair fx? Is there any remedy? 2) since its been 3 months post covid, is taking covid vaccine advisable? If so what kind of precautions do I take?

Yes you can go for vaccination. 1. Do saline gargles daily.
2. Whenever possible do steam inhalation also.
3. Cover your nose and mouth with hanky for at least 30 sec when you go in dusty areas also when you go in and out of ac. As our nose is the most sensitive part of our body, when there is temperature difference between two rooms or inside n outside, then if we not protect our nose, it gets affected.
4. Drink hot liquids --hot liquids relieve nasal congestion, prevent dehydration...more

Hello Mr. lybrate-user! If you are suffering from cold & cough for such a long time, then it is evident that your immunity is hampered. The reasons could be various & non specific. Levocitrizine & other anti allergic tabs will only help you suppress the bodily reactions produced by the body. It is not curing but suppresing the disease. However through Ayurveda, we can help you strengthen your immunity & reduce the allergic reactions through various classical ayurvedic medicines. Diet & excercise...more
