Your son has apparently middle ear infection causing pain and medicine augmentin need to be taken for minimum five to seven days to get effect.

You may be suffering from Recurrent furunculosis. Check your blood sugar levels. Apply Mupimet cream twice daily in all body folds and nostrils and affected areas for 7 days a month for 3 months. Use Soapex soap for bathing. If it still recurs you may need a longer oral antibiotic course.

if the ear infection is in middle ear & caused by bacteria or viruses (severe condition) you may try using otisoothe ear drop.
