As adults, when the bladder gets full, it sends a signal to the brain to wake up or you start dreaming about water or going to bathroom, and then you wake up, but for kids the signal isn't quite strong enough to get them awake which is why it is normal for children to wet the bed till age 6 or below. Therefore bed-wetting is a developmental issue and therefore the treatment is time, so for kids age 6 or under, they will most likely grow out of it. Hello,
Bedwetting problem can be due to some underlying stress. If even after restricting fluids before bed its not resolving than you can opt for alarm therapy; in which he will wake up as soon as he starts voiding urine. It has a high success rate. The last option will be to put him on medication or spray at night time. Appreciate when he do not wet bed. You can consult psychiatrist or pediatrician or you can contact me for any help required.

Since waking to urinate on one occasion during the night is generally considered to be “normal”, having nocturia generally implies that someone wakes up more than once a night to urinate.

Causes of Nocturia:

1.Advancing age
2.Drinking too much fluid during the evening
