Mifepristone alone never work alone. It has to be combined with misoprostol to achive complete abortion. It should not be used beyond 7 weeks as it will cause more failure and will lead to complications.

Hello Lybrate user. If after 24 hours the woman has no bleeding, and she is sure that she is pregnant AND that the pregnancy develops in the uterus she can repeat the misoprostol dose of 4 tablets. The first pill mifepristone will work up to 72 hours. The urine pregnancy tests will only be reliable 3-4 weeks after the abortion.
