You need medication only when your bp is high.
In some people, doctor suggests to take it daily.
You need to keep a check on your blood pressure.
If it gets normal, well and good, if not, then you need the medicine everyday.

Mr. lybrate-user, Thanks for the query.
The medicine that you are taking for high BP is not going to increase uric acid. Uric acid in blood is increased because of excess intake of purines in diet and taking organ meat, certain fishes, red meat etc. Thanks.

No it can cause mental retarded babies if you deliver at this age and you might also get into complications of your bp
Change diet and lifestyle first .Next change your doctor if he is not offering natural solutions to reverse high blood pressure ,is only medicating you and not educating you about the disease and the side effects of the medicines he has prescribed, and telling you to take medicines lifelong which is wrong unless you have developed the complications of high blood pressure.more

Hello,
how long has she been on these medications? This is a high dose of 4 antihypertensive medication. I do not know why ecosprin gold was started but it is not a bp medicine. It is given after a heart attack or angioplasty. If she is taking these medicines for a long ti. E and having these numbness dizziness recently then it is unlikely due to these medicines. This could just be dehydration related due to summer or could be neuropathy or radiculopathy. For now continue the same medicines ...more

He is having high fever, body pain, weakness, abnormal sweating, unable to eat, unable to talk or may be forgetting what he wants to say and can not say it & his blood pressure is getting very low, he is a heart patient for which medicines are already been taken. Medicines are tab ecosprin 150 mg, cap metolar xr 50 mg, tab ramihart 5 mg, tab rosulip 10 mg. Yesterday he went to nearest clinic the doctor saw him from very far distance and prescribed some medicines, but after taking those medicines no effects were shown, the condition is same. The prescribed medicines are tab telekast l and tab a-z gold. For fever he is taking crocin. Kindly suggest what should we do? Please tell us the treatment details as soon as possible. I will be very helpful if you do so. Thanks & regards haseena.

Hi Lybrate user.
Your father is 75 year old and also a heart disease, so high risk for covid19. So this is one possibility. Go for covid19 test.
For how long he has fever? Chills rigor? Burning micturition/ increased frequency? His mental condition is not sound so one possibility is hyponatremia.
If you are able to go for investigation then do these tests-
cbc, rbs, s. Creatinine, sgpt, bilirubin, s.electrolytes, mp test, elisa typhidot igm, chest xray pa view, c/s urine.

You have not mentioned your detailed diagnosis like what type of arrhythmia, partial information makes it difficult to provide correct medical advice, so please ensure you provide complete medical history while consulting only. Also, Please avoid self medicating yourself, consult a cardiologist and follow their advice and you should not take prolomet if you have low sinus heart rate, but again that will depend on the type of arrhythmia you have, and whether your treating cardiologist has decided...more
