Metolar contains metoprolol which is a beta adrenergic blocker. It's useful in those with heart problems as in decreases the pulse rate thereby decreasing the oxygen consumption of the heart.

The medication you mentioned appear to be okay but I am not sure about the doses as you have not mentioned the latest thyroid function test results. In hypoparathyroidism beta blocker are usually not the preferred choice of anti hypertensive drugs and you may be required to change it. Leg cramps and pain can be related to drug. Please get your thyroid function test and blood sugar levels and bp, heart rate checked and forward me the results to guide you further.

Yes it is a safe combination. Night metoprolol may affect sleep. Your lipid medicine is probably excessive, suggest you post the exact lipid levels for further opinion.

Metolar is a beta blocker and it has mild anti-hypertensive properties and is not a first line recommendation for controlling BP, so you need a change in medication. Kindly consult a cardiologist for the change in medication. And also start exercising daily, begin gradually and increase to 40-45 mins, ensure that you are not taking too much salt rich foods like chips, pickles, chutneys, papads etc, if you smoke quit it, eat a healthy diet (take a detailed diet consult for the same)
