As a doctor, I must emphasize that crystal methamphetamine is an extremely hazardous drug with a high potential for addiction, serious health problems, and overdose. The risk of overdose depends on several factors such as weight, tolerance, purity and potency of the drug.
Even small amounts of crystal meth can have severe health consequences, including heart attack, stroke, and seizures. Furthermore, it's important to note that crystal meth is illegal, and its usage, possession or distributi...more

The medications that have been prescribed by the doctor / psychiatrist for your son are fine. Some people react differently to different medications and you might want to continue giving the medications if there are no serious side effects. The good effects of the medications take about 20-30 days for them to show up and I believe that you will be able to get over the bad effects once you start focusing on the good effects the medication is having. I also think that you should start to not read ...more

Hello lybrate-user
you have been started on concerta xl 18 mgs only recently. Your prescribing doctor will review response, monitor for any possible side effects and if appropriate will titrate up the dose gradually till there is effective control of your adhd symptoms. Most of them respond well to concerta (which is an extended release preparation of methylphenidate which is a stimulant medication). If for whatever reason concerta does not suit you, there is no harm in trying atomoxetine. M...more

Tremors that you mention are more a sign of anxiety and tension than a side effect of the medication. Inspiral may cause you to have this side effects among others if started at very high doses. I also think that you should give the medication some time to get over the side effects as they are usually only present for the first few days. If you continue to have trouble you can certainly contact us and we can guide you in the right direction.
Look forward to hearing from you. If you need help...more

I am 21 years old, was having anxiety issues. Went to a psychologist who referred me to a psychiatrist saying that I have ocd. Went to a renowned psychiatrist. Jst by seeing the psychologist report and asking some questions prescribed me with:- inspiral, flocin plus and pexup. I took these medicines for 2 days and started feeling very lethargic. I immediately stopped and google abt their side effects which were terrifying. And somehow I feel that they have affected me badly. I was not able to gv my exams well .went completely blank seeing the paper. It’s been 2 months now but I still feel that I cannot connect with people. Sometimes get completely lost. Please advise that does taking these medicines only for 2 days effect a person or am I jst over thinking. Waiting for your advice desperately.

Taking the psychiatric medications for two days will not have lasting effects on how your condition reacts. The fact that you were not made aware of the side effects or told that you might need to tolerate some adverse effects for a couple of days before things start looking up is the problem with the medications. I believe that your anxiety has many causes and that your problems are related to your not wanting to get treated for your problems with medications and your anxiety just rises if they...more

Dear Lybrate user
we would recommend you discuss the same with the psychiatrist. Psychiatrists can help in identifying whether to increase the dose or decrease it. Along with it, you have to make some lifestyle changes as well like adopting a physical exercise routine - gyming, yoga, cycling, etc. Consult a dietician for a healthy diet routine like avoiding too much sugar and carbs. Additionally to all these, you may try analyzing how this condition is affecting your life - relationship, wor...more
