I think try cutting down on rice totally and walking or exercising. If still bsl this range thn add glycomet 500 lunch time if your total metformin dose not exceeded 2000 mg /day. Target FBS 70-120 and ppbs 120-140.

Mr. Lybrate-user, it appears that only metformin is not enough in controlling your diabetes, that is the reason hba1c has gone up. You need to add some more drugs to the treatment for better control of blood glucose. Another aspect your weight is high and bmi is 27.77 kgs/m2, (normal <23 kgs/m2). That also contributes to increased blood blood glucose level. There is an urgent need to add a new drug. If you are willing to do that, then please come in a private conversation with current blood suga...more

Betacap TR is given for hand tremors (vibration) not for BP. So let her continue it. Check BP regularly ,as you said it can decrease BP aswell.

Please go for a review immediately and start the treatment as advised. Certain points to understand and follow the rules: always go for regular health check up and do the tests as advised, even if you are feeling better and the sugar levels are in good control! do not take medicine on your own. As the medicines are prescribed based on various factors which need to be assessed from time to time. Exercise every day and eat healthy food (taking only medicines but not following the healthy lifestyle...more
