Hi, I am 17 year old boy.In april 2017 I had severe headache accompanied with high fever 102 degree Fahrenheit. I went to doctor and he measured my bp. My bp was 150/90 pulse 80 bpm. He prescribed me Montelukast Sodium tabs .and antibiotic cefixime After taking the very first dose of Montelukast I had difficulty breathing, pain in my left chest and left arm and palpitations. The next day I went to doctor and reported this and he literally scolded me in his clinic in front of other people citing my lack of exercise, rtc etc. My height is 180 cm and at that time my weight was 80 kgs I went to another doctor and he stopped Montelukast sodium. Meanwhile I was suffering from typhoid. Typhoid was cured in 7 to 8 days. After stopping Montelukast I felt better, no more palpitations, etc.but I had occasional palpitations etc. After few days I again had breathless and pain in left side of chest. I went to doctor and my bp was 164 /80. I was very nervous there. Did ecg and it showed tachycardia. Went to cardiologist, he did an echo and report was fine. He said I was very anxious and nervous and prescribed me Vinicor D 25. Now it haz been 8 months but still I am taking the vinicor tabs. I get very nervous at doctor's clinic and my bp and pulse rate rises. My bp remains below 130 /80 at home. Is this tachycardia, excessive anxiety related to Montelukast Sodium tabs. I have no history of asthma. Currently my weight is 69 kgs and I exercise for almost 30 mins everyday. Pls help.

Once bp diagnosed difficult to cure but after many precautions you can control bp. Bp moves up and down with daily activities so do not worry about that if goes or up beyond limit inspite if drug taking need to check. However low salt sugar fat and light excercise will slowly decrease bp. Gradually we can reduce medicine over the period. So once started keep on monitoring if with in limits as suggested by doctor and have symptoms need to do something keep in touch to know more.

Do sports (at home, if you feel more confortable) but 3x 30min/week.
Eat more greens, oilseeds, fresh fruits and food rich in magnesium such as: raw spinach, fish, beans, lentils, avocados, brown rice, bananas, figs and chocolate.
If you have a pet, cuddle with it more often and take care of it. It will make you shift your focus from anxiety to something else.
Try to catch the sun everyday for 10mins.
Check your levels of vit D and B12 (adjust with supplements if needed).

How to manage anxiety disorder?(I am 17 years old male. My weight is 69 kgs.In June I had developed high bp 164/80 and high pulse rate 120 bpm. ECG showed Tachycardia but echo was normal. Doctor concluded sleeplessness and nervousness. He prescribed me Vinicor D 25 After that whenever I go to doctor, I have palpitations, light headache, sweaty palms and constant tapping of feet. As a result my bp becomes high and pulse rate becomes 100. Doctor concluded White Coat hypertension. My bp and pulse rate remains perfectly normal at home and goes up at clinic. I get occasional palpitations at home that goes away of its own in a day or two. I keep worrying very much about my health, academics, etc. I can't help to stop these worrying thoughts. The medications and these anxiety are taking a toll on me. please Help. I also do yoga and go for walk almost daily.)
