Hello lybrate-user. From the symptoms described by you along with the history, it does seem to be due to hypersensitivity (allergy) to some substance. At times, it has been seen to occur due to insect bite. In your case, it could be due to the fish that you had. Have you had any previous allergic reactions to any food stuffs? if yes, then it would correlate well. If no, then it could be the first episode. Maintain a light diet for at least 2 weeks. Along with it, use the medicines that have been...more

Hello Lybrate User. Sjogren's syndrome is characterised by abnormal functioning of exocrine glands leading to dryness of eyes and mouth. It can be primary sjogren's or secondary (secondary to other connective tissue disorder like RA, SLE, Systemic sclerosis). Just a positive ANA does not confirm sjogren's. ANA can be positive in 30% patients of RA itself. Type of ANA pattern would be relevant. Primary sjogren's have antibodies to Ro and La in 30-50% cases. Sjogren's diagnosis would require other...more

Looks like you have a recurrent uveitis for the last 7 years. A thourough systemic workup is a must for a confirmed diagnosis. If vision is so much affected and not responding to treatment then nowadays some patients are being given immuno-suppresive drugs. It is imperative that you consult a uvea specialist (an ophthalmologist who has specialized in the field of uvea).
