Melatonin tablets are mainly used for regulation of sleep wake cycle post jet lag it can't be taken on daily basics
it's better to follow sleep hygiene like avoiding coffee after 5 regular sleep schedule and proper-exercise.

the issues you are facing are not relevant to neurology. It's in your best interest if you consult a psychiatrist in person and discuss regarding possibility of anxiety or depressive disorder. He/she will probably prescribe you some antidepressant medicine which the neurologist might not think of.

Hi! ssri are better drug now a days like escitopram, fluoxetine etc so reconsult your psychiatrist ,don't change your doctor again & again, have patience & took treatment properly wait for adequate time at least 6 to 8 weeks.
