First of all for what indication melacare is used? First of all it's not a fairness cream it contains a combination of steroid /hydroquinone /retinoids

Melacare forte has hydroquinone and tretinoin. Its safe onky for 4 to 8 weeks not four years. Please stop the cream and apply a good moisturizer (aveeno) and sunscreen (Facegaurd) on daily basis to repair your skin. If you are seeing redness and pimples or any other side effect. Please consutl a qualified dermatolgist . As you may have oochronosis.

Hi!
Even though you are not going to sun, SUNSCREEN is important as artificial sources of light like computer screen, tube lights etc can emit UVB radiation and cause tanning .One more important thing is , tretinoin is retinoid cream which causes exfoliation of skin ,so sunscreen is a must and should .

Hydroquinone and steroid based combinations are not to be used for more than a month. Even if you r not experiencing side-effects now it's making your skin thin and very sensitive leading to redness and heat sensitivity.
