Hello lybrate-user. If it's NS1 positive then you need to be cautious. Monitor platelet count regularly. Watch out for any rash or red patches on skin, black stools, bleeding gums, chest pain and shortness of breath. All the pain killers should be avoided in dengue as they can cause gastrointestinal tract bleeding. You may use paracetamol as it has more antipyretic action than anti inflammatory action. ya. with Dpt vaccination fever is there. u can give paracetamol drops.. usually required for 48 hrs. apply ice over vaccination site.

I never recommend paracetamol to suppress fever because body throw all toxicity in form of fever, cold, cough which automatically gets healed in 72 hrs but meanwhile you can just put cold wet hankey packs on stomach neck and head to regulate temp of the body.
