Medigrel 75 MG Tablet Health Feed

Asked for male, 55 years old from Thodupuzha

Sir. My father had a heart attack on 30 Apr 17. He has been taking vildagliptin 50 + metformin 500 (OD) for the last 5 years for diabetes. He was NOT taking atorvastatin and aspirin. He has been smoking for 30 years. Angiogram shows a 90% block RCA. Angioplasty done with 2 stents and discharged on very next day. And advised to take aspirin 150 OD Clopidogrel 75 OD metoprolol 25 OD Atrovas 40 OD Metformin SR 1000 BD pantoprazole 40 OD. He stopped smoking then. AND after taking these medicines for a week his sugar level came down to 55 and 60 twice. So metformin reduced to 500 BD. Then also he is facing hypoglycemic conditions. Is vildagliptin safe to take now or continue with metformin 500 BD? And these medicines are for life long?

Hello sir, My dad is 64 years old. He suffers from type 2 diabetes and hypertension. He takes Olmax LN 40 containing olmesartan 40 mg and cilnidipine 10 mg for HTN. He also takes an antiplatelet drug Clopilet A 75 (containing Aspirin 75 mg and Clopidogrel 75 mg) and a statin Lipigo 5 mg (containing rosuvastatin 5 mg). 1.Can he take omega 3 fatty acids like EPA and DHA 500 mg daily? Omega 3 fatty acids have been found to be very useful in reducing synthesis of prostaglandin series 2 molecules and thus are anti inflammatory. Thus is also good for cardiovascular and joint health. The American Heart Association (AHA) also recommends consumption of upto 1000 mg of EPA+DHA for heart health daily.

I feel numbness (as is said in north india that affected part of body has gone to sleep) mildly tickling sensation (as if some pins are very mildly pricking) + substantial bit of pain in body which shifts from one part to another. 2. All thru my life I have passed one motion in the morning but since last 3 months I miss to pass a motion often. But my appetite is good and I eat lots of nutritious food. Fruits and all kinds of vegetables every day. Chicken once a week, 2 eggs thrice a week 3. My hba1c is 6.0. But I take metformin 1 gm daily. 4. My bp is normal. I take telmisartan 40 o.D and clopidogrel a 75 o.D 5. One stent was inserted in my blood vessel 10 years back 6. I am 80 years old male Request please advice.

Hello, 49-year-old male here. Approximately 2 and a half years ago I experienced a "mild" heart attack which led to angioplasty to the second diagonal branch of the left coronary artery with the placement of a des resolute integrity 2.25x18x1 mm. Since then I've been taking daily clopidogrel 75 mg, rosuvastatin 10 mg, metoprolol tartrate 25 mg and acetylsalicylic acid 100 mg and have never experienced any discomfort whatsoever. Never in my life I had (or have) problems with high blood pressure or high blood sugar, my problems were cholesterol related, which of course now is way lower than the limit due to diet and medication. But I am experiencing problems in obtaining/sustaining an erection. I wanted to ask, is it safe for me to take viagra etc. Furthermore is there any point in continuing taking metoprolol since I never ever had high blood pressure issues? Many thanks in advance.

I need to ask you about tablet she is paralysis patient morning tab is 3tabs I am giving (glycomet 500 mg) and (almacit-p 800) and (amtas-2.5 mg) these tabs I am giving at morning and now doctor said to don't use glycomet 500 mg and given another tab i.e name (nuhenz )and afternoon tab given is (1: clopidogrel and aspirin capsules) and night again 3tabs (almacit-p )and (laregab- nt) and (aztor 40 mg) nuhenz I don't know usage of this tab and time also I don't know I can't able to ask doctor and medical shop also have no idea how to use this nuhenz tab so please doctor tell me at what time this tablet have to use morning or night please tell she have diabetes and present she is suffering from paralysis morning 2 tabs and afternoon 1 tab and night again 3tabs she is using and now this nuhenz tab at what time I have to give to here please let me know.

I am 67 years old. I have undergone angioplasty and by pass operations 7 years back and 5 years back respectively. I am still having problem of breathing. I also have diabetes range 325 post lunch. I am having thyroid for last more than 30 years. I am also having bp problem. My bp for the last more than two months is not in control. It is 90-100 low and 140-160 high. Recently, on 23.06.18 thyroid was checked it was found. T3 77.69. T4 6.9 and TSH 27.775. I am taking thyrox 100 tablet early morning. I am also taking following medicines daily. Morning Gliclazide & metformin HCI tablet of Jan Ausadhi 1 tablet for diabetes. Amlip 2.5 1 tablet. Metaprol xl 25 1 tablet. I take following medicines in the late evening. Clopidogrel Tablet IP 75 one tablet. Ecosprin 75 one tablet. And Atorvastatin tablet Ip 10 mg. Kindly advise to control bp, diabetes thyroid etc.

I have gone through the details given and notice that you do have multiple issues. In addition your BMI is 29 kgs/Sq Meter, which is very close to grade 1 obesity. This itself is a major contributor for improper control of diabetes and high BP. Plus it is possible that due uncontrolled hypothyroidism there is excess weight gain. Your ideal weight should be around 59 kgs, as against that you are now 79 kgs (20 kgs excess).

Hello doctor I want to ask you for my father treatment, he is 82 years old he is suffering from kidney problems, heart problems ,diabetes, high blood pressure from past 10 - 12 years now he is under treatment and continuing tablets (1 yr) for all these problems from gh chennai. Now the problem is urea and creatinine level is getting high urea is 61 and serum creatinine 2.34. How can I reduce it. He is consuming salt per day 3gm and water 1.5 litre. 20 days back we checked creatinine 1.87 urea 60 now creatinine 2.34 and urea 61 why it's getting high and low electrolyte are in control how can I reduce both. These tablets now using for 1 yr. Metformin 500 mg (m-n, aspirin150 mg (a, clopidogrel 75 mg (a), ranitidine 150 mg (m-n), metoprolol er 25 mg (m-n), atorvastatin 10 mg (n) 2 tablet, acitrom 2 mg (6 pm) .pls give me a good solution.

Hi. Increase in creatinine happens due to dysfunction of the kidney. Looking at your history it looks like your father is having chronic kidney disease. Some contribution to everything is partly his aging process as well. However he will need evaluation for the cause of worsening from 1.8 to 2.3. Also his diet seems to be reasonable. Pls meet a nearby nephrologist immediately.

I am 73 years male undergone ptca with stent to rca and lcx on 30.12.19. discharged on 3.1.20. At that time I was prescribed some 8-9tablets on my post operative visit on 18=1=20my doctor has not mentioned nikoran 5 mg and deplatt which I did not notice at that time but as per internet these two medicines should continue especially deplatt. Is it by mistake my doctor forgot to write and should I continue taking these two or can I stop can you advise as my next visit is on 29th jan till then can you advise what to do regarding these two tablets thanks.

Nikoran is not mandatory after stenting. And there must be some other group of medicine like prasugrel or ticagrelor instead of clopidogrel in your prescription.
