Dear lybrate-user,
if you are suffering from bipolar disorder, you need effective mood stabiliser like lithium carbonate, divalproex or carbamazepine. Eritric dose need to be adjusted according to the effect you need. Probably you may not need oratric. It becomes ineffective in course of time. You may not become angry and violent often, if proper dose of mood stabiliser is taken.

you can follow a proper diet plan and intake some ayurvedic medicines for increase calcium.
Diet:-
use milk, curd, paneer, leafy vegetables, orange, nibu, ragi floor, maze etc.
Avoid heavy food, fast food, junk food, khowa, refined oils, saturated fats items.
Follow diet schedule (gap between two meals) for proper digestion.
Medicine:-
lakshadi guggulu 2 tab bid
gerlife-m 2 tab bid
with milk -- 7 am & 5 pm
jvn-7 2 tab bid
after foodmore

It looks as though Kavita was given tablets for manic episode at present. There is no mood stabilizer in the list you have given.
For 20 years, what are the medicines she was taking that kept her fine for many years. Lithium carbonate, divalproex or carbamazepine? At what dose and what blood level (lithium and divalproex).
Probably the same drug, if it does not cause disturbance in her diabetes treatment, will be prescribed to her after controlling the present manic epi...more
