Psychologist•Mumbai
Hi lybrate-user.
In addition to medicines, addressing what's keeping you awake and making you anxious might be more helpful. I practice cbt and use various relaxation techniques to help with sleep, overthinking and anxiety. Setting a pre-bed routine and getting some physical activity can help you. Switching off your devices an hour before can be beneficial as well.

Pain Management Specialist•Delhi
Thank you for posting this query. You can take advice from an orthopaedic or pain specialist. It is not clear if the arthritis you are mentioning is in hip joint or spine or elsewhere. If it is the spine then Neurosurgeon can also be approached for advice. The management will depend on the symptoms, their severity and the investigation findings. There are nonsurgical options but further evaluation is required to assess if they would be appropriate in this case or not. Hope you find the right sol...more

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
CBT is one of the most successful ways to deal with anxiety. Multiple doctors and therapists recommend I do it. I still have yet to do it so I can't say from personal experience that it's successful, but I know from careful research, it is very helpful.
Therapy, in general, is very helpful as well. Not many people understand or have time to listen to what you want to talk about, but therapists are paid to do that very thing. In fact, they are curio...more

Age related memory loss
As everyone gets older it becomes more difficult to remember things, especially if one is getting over 60 years of age. This is because like other parts of the body, the brain also changes with age. How? Here’s how.
Parts of the brain that handle cognitive functions, learning, memory, and planning shrink with age.
Neurons (nerve cells) in the brain stop communicating efficiently. This is of course a gradual process.
