Take 2 white pills within 120 hours after unprotected sex and 2 more white pills 12 hours later. Each dose contains 0.5 mg of levonorgestrel and 100 µg of ethinyl estradiol. Emergency contraception works up to 5 days after unprotected sex. The sooner you take it, the better it will work. Take these pills 12 hours after taking the first set of pills. If you want to use birth control pills for emergency contraception, you must take 2 doses 12 hours apart.

Levonorgestrel 72 is an emergency contraceptive pill. Menses will not get postponed by this. You need to contact a nearby gynecologist.
