Tonsillitis is pretty common. Present guidelines suggest that if you have more than 4 to 5 episodes of tonsillitis in a year, or you have difficulty swallowing food, or you snore because of tonsils, then its better to get them operated and removed (surgical removal is absolutely safe, it would not harm your body in any way)
if anything less, it can be managed medically.

Meet a pediatrician at your location to find cause of fever and get irrelevant investigations done. 5 days fever needs a blood investigation for confirming the source of infection.

The medicines described by you cannot be the full treatment for the Throat and Chest infection.
Kindly contact on Lybrate Consultation Platform for better understanding your problem and treatment advice.
Wishing your mother a speedy recovery.

Dear lybrate-user, relax and calm down. If you have furuncle it should be drained via scalpel and things would be better than by giving antibiotics as you are pregnan, t.please consult a good ent specialist for these reasons at the earliest. Sincerely.
