I would like to know more about your diagnosis and how long you are on these medications. I would also like to give you information on quetiapine which is an antipsychotic and it also has antidepressant properties. You have to take medications that are agreeable to you with minimal side effects. Your wife had other medical problems apart from Schizophrenia. She is on medications for Schizophrenia also. All medicines have side effects on other systems of the body. One has to weigh the benefit vs side effect.
Your doctor who has been treating her is the best person to assess all these.

Dear lybrate user. I can understand. These addiction comes under SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND ADDICTION. Deaddiction treatment is best suited for such addictions. Medically assisted drug detoxification or alcohol detoxification alone is ineffective as a treatment for addiction. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) recommends detoxification followed by both medication (where applicable) and behavioral therapy, followed by relapse prevention.
