I would also like to give you information on quetiapine which is an antipsychotic and it also has antidepressant properties. You have to take medications that are agreeable to you with minimal side effects. Medically assisted drug detoxification or alcohol detoxification alone is ineffective as a treatment for addiction. The National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA) recommends detoxification followed by both medication (where applicable) and behavioral therapy, followed by relapse prevention.
