Dear lybrate-user,
You need medication to control cholesterol no doubt. Protein digestion and cholesterol synthesis bot happen in the liver. Take more care and treatment to strengthen the liver function for better and long lasting results. The combination of medicines has been worked out by your Doctor. It is best to ask him for logic of this choice.
Regards.

Mr Dhirendra, If your blood sugar is well controlled then there is no need to chenge treatment. Good control means fasting close to 100 mg and PP between 150 to 160 mg and HbA1c%<7.. If this achieved then there is no reason to change.

Dear , since you are suffering from hypothyroidism for a long time I assume that you are taking your thyroid medications regularly. But you have not mentioned whether your blood hormone levels are remaining within normal range. For weight loss, you need to consult a dietician and follow a stricter regime rather than going in for an aggressive exercise programme.
