Clopitab-CV Gold 20 Capsule is a combination of three medicines: Aspirin, atorvastatin and clopidogrel which prevent heart attack. Aspirin and clopidogrel are antiplatelet medications. They work by preventing the platelets from sticking together and decrease the formation of harmful blood clots. Atorvastatin is a lipid-lowering medication that blocks an enzyme that is required in the body to make cholesterol. It lowers the "bad" cholesterol (LDL), triglycerides and raises the "good" cholesterol (HDL). Etirest 0.5 mg Tablet is a benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the action of a chemical messenger (GABA) which suppresses the abnormal and excessive activity of the nerve cells in the brain.and it induces sleep and therefore it is given at night

Yes it will In general every patient who has a significant blockage in the heart or has a history of heart attack should be on at least 4 types of medications 1) antiplatelets which increase the clotting time of blood and decrease chances of future heart attacks and Re-stenosis of the stent. Initially you are kept on two types of antiplatelets and depending upon your disease and your progress your then shifted to single antiplatelet after 6 months or 1 year.  Eg: ecosprin, clopidogrel, Prasugrel, brillianta 2) Statins - are cholesterol lowering medications which are supposed to again prevent future heart attacks.  Eg. Tonact / atorvas 3) ARB / ACE Inhibitors - which help decreasing pressure on the heart and prevents remodeling injuries. Eg. Cardace / telma 4) Beta Blockers - They decrease the heart rate thereby reducing the work load on the heart and decrease BP also.  eg. Atenolol / Betaloc / metolar  usually all post angioplasty patients are kept on at least these 4 types of medications and depending upon the side effects and contraindications of medications are changed and slowly over period of time the dosage of these medications are decreased depending upon the recovery Get back to me with the reports for a detailed consultation.   Watch these simple explanatory videos for underlying the problem. Atorvas is a little more effective for controlling LDL and simvastatin is little more effective in increasing HDL.

Stop clopidogrel after discussing with your Dr. Two blood thinners are required for about one year of stent. They can usually be reduced to aspirin alone after that. Atorva 20 can be reduced too, but better to do so 12 weeks after improving diet. Traditional balanced diet is healthier for heart than restricted modern diet. Beat wishes.

Many factors cause erectile dysfunction. Like psychological issues, diseases like Diabetes, Hypertension, Thyroid abnormalities, etc. Amlodipine (amlodac) rarely causes erectile dysfunction (it happens in 1-2%). Your condition needs detailed history and evaluation. Consult an Urologist.

I am a 50 year old male. In 2012, I was diagnosed with hypertension. I was prescribed to take Lodoz 5 mg, clopidogrel 75 mg in the morning, & Concor 5 mg Atorvastatin 10 mg in the night. My BP has become normal and I am continuing the medicines since then. I am afraid, these medicines could have adverse effects in the long run. Pl advise me on how to avoid side effects of the above medicines, without affecting my health issues. Are there any ways to keep the side effects of the aforementioned drugs. Pl suggest solution.

You need to understand about high blood pressure. Normal range of blood pressure is between 90/60 to 140/90, anything above or below is is abnormal. Many factors can affect blood pressure, including: 1) The amount of water and salt you have in your body 2) The condition of your kidneys, nervous system, or blood vessels 3) Your hormone levels 4) your lifestyle - smoking, drinking, exercise You are more likely to be told your blood pressure is too high as you get older. This is because your blood vessels become stiffer as you age. When that happens, your blood pressure goes up. High blood pressure increases your chance of having a stroke, heart attack, heart failure, kidney disease, or early death. DASH stands for Dietary Approaches to Stop Hypertension. DASH lowers high blood pressure and improves levels of cholesterol. This reduces your risk of getting heart disease. The DASH Diet - Emphasizes vegetables, fruits, and fat-free or low-fat dairy products. - Includes whole grains, fish, poultry, beans, seeds, nuts, and vegetable oils. - Limits sodium, sweets, sugary beverages, and red meats. Along with DASH, other lifestyle changes can help lower your blood pressure. They include staying at a healthy weight, exercising, and not smoking. My advice to you would be 1) Keep a BP daily record for at least one week 2) Basic tests should be one to rule out cardiac / kidney issues 3) unless any recent evaluation has been done I would advice these test ECG ECHO Lipid Profile TSH KFT Renal doppler Get back to me with a detailed history and old / new records for a better individualized advice.

Consult your cardiologist who'll give detailed instructions regarding stopping n restarting of your certain daily medicines before n after surgery. Additionally you'll b given antibiotics too. However oral prophylaxis is mandatory before you undergo cardiac surgeries. Take cardiologist written consent before you visit dentist for any dental procedures. Regards.
