Dear sir your father is diabetic and he may have albumuniria which can decrease the albumin in blood. This decrease lead decreased oncoming pressure is cause of swelling leg which decreases in morning and visible as day passes. There are other causes like varicose vein or right sided heart failure.

as you are hypertensive u need to take salt restricted diet.

to avoid gastritis
take your meals in time
avoid stress
dont sleep immediately after taking your main meal
avoid spicy and junk food
take plenty of water
