For cramping from diarrhea, medicines that have loperamide (Imodium) or bismuth subsalicylate (Kaopectate or Pepto-Bismol) might make you feel better. For other types of pain, acetaminophen (Aspirin Free Anacin, Liquiprin, Panadol, Tylenol) might be helpful.

Ir is immediate release and sr is sustained release formulations. Both work well but usually sr formulations have lesser gastrointestinal side effects.

Dear lybrate-user, Thanks for the question. Eldoper Capsule is used for Loose stools, Diarrhea, Mild travelers diarrhea, Non infective diarrhea, Idiopathic diarrhea in aids patients and other conditions. Eldoper Capsule may also be used for purposes not listed in this medication guide. Maternal use of loperamide in early pregnancy may be linked with a moderate risk development for a malformation. Talk to your gynecologist is must. Take care.

Yes you may, but try to take natural probiotics like butter milk and curd. Check with your diabetologist for medicines and insulin for side effects. Thanks.

No. It causes more harm than good. Is the baby passing urine 8-10 times per day, having good appetite and activity and gaining weight? If yes to all the above, you shouldn't be worried. Continue breastfeeding at a higher frequency.
In case of lethargy, decreased feeding, decreased urine output and blood in stool, contact a pediatrician immediately.

Take enterogermina sachets for atleast 3 days. Have probiotic yoghurt or greek yoghurt or yakult. Avoid spicy and oily foods. Avoid taking too much sugary including glucose as it encourages bacterial growth.
