Lorazepam is used initially to control withdrawal symptoms of alcohol. It is tapered off within 2-3 weeks depending on the withdrawal symptoms. Nobody continues it for 2 years. Probably you are taking it by yourself. Luckily you have not increased from 2 mg. Please take MET, motivational enhancement therapy weekly for 12 weeks to withdraw yourself off lorazepam. Neither Melzap nor trapex is a antidepressant, they are primarily sleeping and anxiety reducing medications. If you are still experiencing any symptoms of depression you need to see a Psychiatrist and discuss options.

Schizophrenia is quite a debilitating disease and you should not attempt to regulate or discontinue the medication on your own.
