This is a serious problem and needs to be dealt with on immediate basis. But the technique should be such that he should not come to know about the fact that he is being treated. Otherwise it may lead to worsening. Please elaborate the addiction that he has and any other symptoms and diseases. Do not worry. This is manageable but immediate intervention is required.

the wax in your ear may be impacted and hard, please use waxol drops to soften it up, please do not try to take it out by ear buds you may injure yourself, go and see an ENT specialist they will take it out properly.
