Triglycerides are manufactured in liver from alcohol sugar jaggery and starchy foods. Reduce these in diet. Increase intake of traditionally healthy foods like yoghurt cheese nuts eggs butter etc. It will improve triglycerides and is healthy for heat. For more information please discuss on phone. Statins are quite safe. When you combine it with Fibrates (Stanlip) rarely it may cause Muscle and Liver toxicity, that you can monitor by measuring Muscle Enzymes (CPK- Total) and Liver Enzymes (DHOT/ SGPT) most of time these drugs are tolerated well without any major side effects. There is hardly any interference with Vit K If you stop these drugs your Lipids (Cholesterols and TG) will rise again, so continue these drugs while keeping monitoring the muscle and Liver Enzymes.
