Lidocaine jelly is also used to numb and treat inflammation of the urinary tract (urethritis). Lidocaine is a topical anesthetic that numbs mucus membranes. It does not work to numb thicker skin.

First time intercourse is not always painful until you have tough intact Hyman membrane. Try to do proper foreplay it will prepare you for smooth sex if still you feel pain then use lidocain jelly 2% upto 2 to 3 semi. Inside your vagina all around it and wt for 5 min to start.

My girlfriend experiences pain during intercourse so we tried using Lidocaine 2% jelly, which worked pretty well and she was able to enjoy sex without any pain due to it. Can we keep using the cream again and again every time we have sex? Is it safe for multiple uses? If no, is there any other harmless alternative?

It is good that she is doing well with the lidocaine jelly. There is no need to continue using the same though for long time. Next time try using just moisturiser cream or coconut oil. If it works well, there is no need to use a local anesthetic like lidocaine

Several other condition can lead to vaginismus -- Urinary tract infections or urination problems, yeast infections, sexually transmitted disease, endometriosis, genital or pelvic tumors, cysts, cancer, vulvodynia / vestibulodynia, pelvic inflammatory disease, lichen planus, lichen sclerosus, eczema, psoriasis, vaginal prolapse, etc. Hence first the cause needs to be identified and then treated accordingly.

Yes you can apply this ointment at the entry of female genital area. But there are other options available like vagisil gel which can be applied over the male private and female private parts both, without decreasing the sexual pleasure.

Lignocaine gel is safe. But always get a medical examination done by a gynecologist to exclude local causes for pain.

Hello, I am 25 year married girl. Before 3 month I got married, but still now i'm virgin, due to vaginal pain during intercourse. I have tried allot, but couldn't do. We applied ky jelly, we applied lidocaine gel, but both thing not worked. After this I can't get penetrated. I want any solution. If any medicine, that can increase my vaginal opening. Please provide that name. Or any natural remedy.

Hello. There are no medicines available which can increase the vaginal opening. We can only provide some lubricants like ky jelly, lubic gel etc. You can use some dilators or vaginal mould, cover it with a condom and dilate the vagina slowly everyday in morning and evening. You can use a piston of a 10 cc syringe also. Apply a lidocaine jelly to decrease pain. You should also get a local examination done by a gynaecologist.

Jelly is not responsible for condom break, try using good branded condoms. For better sexual health and stamina, your routine and diet matters a lot.
