Dear lybrate user, inhalation route of drug administration is very effective with minimal side effects when compared with oral/tablet mode of medication. Majority of asthma patients uses two types of drugs. Drugs which dilates airway (broncho dilators like salbutamol) & inflammation stoppers (steroids like budesonide). Side effects are very minimal. If you r using a steroid please wash your mouth with water after inhalation of the drug.

The combination of an inhaled corticosteroid (ics) and a long-acting beta-agonist (laba) has been one of the most popular options for the treatment of stable chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (copd. However, the combination of ics/laba still has a role in the treatment of copd.
