Ideally expectorants are not used for infants but still if you are using then dose is 5ml 8 to 12 hourly as per levosalbutamol which is not easy to give.

You may go for allergy testing and if found to be allergic due to one or two then can get relief by immunotherapy.

Dear Sir, My son is 6 year old and suffering from cough more than one year. He is taking inhaler foracort 100 one puf daily morning and in evening. Also one syrup delpomont 5 ml daily under treatment of one of the Dr. But his cough problem recurring after every 15 -20 data and we have to give nebulizer levolin .63 till 5daya 4 times than his cough get relief. But this happens every 15-20 day even inhaler and syrup continue. Please advice and guide how my child can be cure properly. Best Regards.

Hello My baby is 11 months old and is been suffering from cough and cold since a week. I am giving him him .31 mg levolin and .25 mg budecort in neboliser 2-3 times a day. Atarax syrup 0.5 ml and montair granules are also prescribed by his pediatrician which he is taking regularly but there is no effect at all. There's a lot of wheezing sound from his nose and lungs. I am also giving him nasoclear spray occasionally if he is not able to sleep due to blocked nose. I give him warm water also for drinking 2-3 times a day. Please suggest what to do as I am very much worried due to his frequent recurrence of cold.

Nasoclear will not reduce block in nose and use Otrivin P nasal spray. Wheezing is s long term disease (chronic condition) and is made worse by allergy to dust, cols and may things around him. Now doctor gave him levolin 1.25 mg (nebulizer) two times, budate 0.5 mg nebulizer 2 times, criz m ,bevon ,septilin (ayurvedic) syrup 5 ml one time. Previously used ascoril ls jr syrup, alex jr, omnacortil syrup (as per doctor gave). Chest xray report not bad. Alternate day we give honey, haldi milk. No improvement. What can I do?

Flohale and budecort respule should not be taken together as they serve same purpose. Try allegra 120 mf once a day with saline gargles. Add ceftum 500 1 tab twice/day if fever. Better consult a resp. Phy.
