The minor seizure attack needs treatment with levipil and pramodep 50 and is needed levipil 500 tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine. It is used to control and prevent epileptic seizures.

My 10 months old daughter is jerking head. The pediatrician said that its myoclonic jerk and gave levipil 100 mg. Without knowledge about it we just gave 1 ml and stopped. Will be there any effect of this one time use of levipil on her?

No problem with 1 dose nor with more dose it is a safe drug. But meet a pediatric neurologist and get EEG test done to rule out myoclonic jerks it it is positive then must be treated with drugs.

Hello I had one episode of seizure on 2016 aug since then I had levetiracetam 1000xr once a day for 3 year and then levetiracetam 750xr once a day and now I am taking levetiracetam 500xr once a day and remylin d3 once a day. I have pain in hand, leg and feeling twice in hand and leg and have hypnic jerk while sleeping and have feeling like I will drop material. And also getting scared for fraction of second with noise or accidentally seeing any object (shadow of myself, cars) and when I eat food, juice so I feel normal but after half hour again all this thing starting. My vitamin b12 is 759 (normal range 200-770) vitamin d3 is 48 (normal range (30-100) is this because of seizure problem or something else? And why my hang and leg is paining?

Hello,
though this kind of problem as a side effect of levera is not recorded and as you have been taking medicine for years and the dose has been decreased the chance of side effects of this nature are less. This is a kind of startle syndrome and does not seem to be part of seizures or side effects some medicine I think adequate rest and proper sleep may get rid both of your pain and startle syndrome, best to review after 2 weeks.

I have been suffering from Idiopathic Generalized Epilepsy since 3 years and am continuously on medication. Recently my doctor advised me to switch from Levipil to Valparin slowly (decreasing Levipil and introducing Valparin). Is it OK to switch to Valparin as my seizures were mostly under control since last 1 year (except 2 cases where I got fits in-spite of taking medicines regularly) through Levipil. My father was admitted in neuro icu 7 months back due to sudden seizures. He is 82 years old and has nph. He is taking eptoin 100 mg thrice a day and also levipil syrup 100 mg twice a day since then. But from last 20 days he is getting itching and skin rashes in his two hand and back. Is it side effects of levipil? He has missed 2 doses of levipil syrup yesterday. Is it dangerous?

He has to take medicines without fail and itching and rashes are due to drug allergy and need to stop it after chek u with treating doctor

My wife is 25 years old, she is taking levipil 750 mg tablets and other tablets as well, She has never had any seizure before, but she was recently diagnosed with toxoplasmosis, and nurse say that they had seen her with a seizure (minor, but my wife argues that its false), hence the medication. My question is if she stops taking levipil, will it cause her the seizures again?

Dear doctor, my wife had gone through a brain surgery (aneurism/ coil inserted) in Aug 2016. Since then she is o.k. She was advised to take Levipil500 twice a day. In March 2017, she missed one tablet in afternoon and next day she had a seizure. Since then she is having Levipil 750 twice a day. Has she has to continue this medicine life long? Please advice.

At least a period of 2-3 years of no seizures before it can be tapered. Its a small price for a successful surgery of such a disease and good health.
