Dear friend,
it will not affect your course if you don't have a break through the seizure. However, if you miss your timed dose please take it mediately (it is okay even if you take it in the later half of the day) to maintain a steady drug level in your blood. Henceforth, please don't miss your medication. You have a serious problem if you have a breakthrough seizure. Best wishes.

Hello lybrate-user,
I understand you have epilepsy and are on medication levitracetam how ever I do not understand why you can not undergo hair transplant. Thjere may be some drug interactions with the drugs prescribed at the time of hair transplant but I am sure this can be obviated by careful selection of the medications.

Levetiracetam may decrease the number of seizures you have.Levacetam 500 Tablet is an anti-epileptic medicine. It is used to control and prevent epileptic seizures. You may experience sleepiness and irritability while taking this medicine. This medicine should not be stopped abruptly without consulting your doctor as it may increase the occurrence of fits.

first of all ensure that he is taking them daily..it is highly unlikely that on regular medications with two antiepileptics , one still develop seizures..even one missed dose can be bothersome...what was his EEG reports and CT scan reports (u must have got them done)as there are various infective causes of seizures which are treatable with specific medications..
tablet phenobarbitone has good results where both these above medications fail...but it has to be prescribed by your consulting doc...more
