Hi lybrate-user if it relieves with sompraz tablet, it's more of acidity pain. So need to worry about back pain. Need to take precautions for acidity. Decrease the spicy food. As long as it's lot going down the legs, take it easy. If persistent pain, need to see Gastroenterology for pain.

Pulse rate of 55 to 65 per minute is absolutely normal. I do not understand why you have felt this as a problem. In healthy and fit individuals, more so who are regularly doing exercise or involved in some sports activities, pulse rate at rest is usually low. That only shows that the heart has extra capacity to supply more blood if needed in strenuous activity. However, it is better if BP is maintained around 130/ 80 mm Hg.

probably your father is suffering from congenital hiatus hernia. If surgery is not required (as told by the endoscopist) medical therapy is sufficient to take of symptoms. But I want to know what is the exact problem that your father is suffering which brought him to the doctor? If it is cough, then he needs a detailed evaluation at his age.
