Hello lybrate-user,
I understand you have epilepsy and are on medication levitracetam how ever I do not understand why you can not undergo hair transplant. Thjere may be some drug interactions with the drugs prescribed at the time of hair transplant but I am sure this can be obviated by careful selection of the medications.

I had a mild seizure when I was very young may be 5years old, doctor told my parents not to worry, so no medicine was taken. Later in my early teens also I had mild seizures a couple of times, we consulted some doctors and took medicine. Later when I was 16 years old, once when I had fever I attended college and in the class room I had a seizure. Then we consulted a senior specialist and since then I had no seizure in last six years. My doctor gave a combination of two different tablets initially for a couple of years and later started prescribing leviteracetam. I have been using leviteracetam for the last 5-6years now, 1500 mg dose once in the morning, every day. My family maintained strict secrecy about my problem in view of the stigma associated. However, they fear this may come in the way of my marriage prospects and worry all the time. I wish to know if it is possible to stop medication or reduce the frequency from one dose everyday to once in a week or so. Kindly help please.

If a person have fits during high temperature it is called febrile convulsions.when occurs three time needs to be treated for at least 3 years in case you were treated for 6 years without having epilepsy so gradually you can be tappered off drugs watching for fever which should be treated imediately and not allowed to go beyond a limit.
you can switch over to other drug like ESLIFY 600 mg which latter on can be given only once at night.
A trial should be given to decrese this drug. if y...more

Dear user when we are aware about our problem we are able to control but we have to control it in a proper way. You are too young and taking these tablets, it's not good for your physical as well as your mental health. If you don't want to take medication for life time then please wake up yourself, medicines are not a perfect solution for mental health, you have to work on your own, your will power, your mind and thoughts. But due to certain reasons if you are on antidepressants you have to take...more
