Thanks for the query.
WIth a complicated condition you should have visited a competant endocrinologist right in the beginning. Because Neomercazole is not given during the first few weeks of pregnancy. For Hyperthyroidism if therre is a need Propylthyuracil is given. Please follow the advice of the new doctor. See that you glucose levels are maintained between 90 to 120 mg through out the day. Thanks.

she is taking the best regime of insulin. The only option left is now to go in for a insulin pump. But please meet a doctor or a diabetic educator who can guide you for insulin adjustments. You should know carbohydrate counting and insulin sensitivity factor (isf) to adjust your doses and take corrective doses of insulin.
As for fasting try increase the dose of lantus to correct the fasting. I hope lantus is taken at fixed tie everyday.

Hi,
I can understand your predicament but it is very important to realise that problem might not be the type of insulin you are taking. For example mixtard insulin is as good as ryzodeg in terms of reducing hba1c. However if you are experiencing low sugars with mixtard which is again impacting your hba1c levels, then ryzodeg does help as it will cause less significant low sugar level, also called hypoglycaemia, when compared to mixtard.
Please let me know if you have any problems with ki...more
