Hello Dr. my daughter is 2 years old n she keeps moving constantly whole night means changes her position in every 10 sec after takes 3 hour sleeps I give her lanzol 15 in the morning from last 1 month as prescribed by pediatric but it does work, whole day she stays good n active buy at night she does not sleep properly I give her soy infant formula around 400 ml daily and she does not eat also properly n her weight is 9 kg only I want the advice how to get her proper sleep in the night? Please help.

It might be some behaviour related problem which requires cognitive behavioural therapy.
Stop using unnecessary medications.

My 5 year old son is recently facing this problem of morning sickness/nausea from last 10 days. He vomits in the morning and he is fine the rest of the day. Earlier he used to have milk and then go to school. Now he vomits milk in his bus or school or at home only. Because of this he diet eat his tiffen also. Teacher said he makes faces as if he will vomit while eating tiffen. So literally he is empty stomach for 16 hours since last night dinner. Paed prescribed lanzol n rantac for 3 days but no respite. He feels vomitish even empty stomach in the morning. Its affecting his studies now. please help.

He seems to be having some issues in school. Ask him nicely without scolding him. Maybe some child is bullying him or he is scared of some teacher. Make enquiry in school also. It seems more of physiologically rather than physical. Give him kumariasav no 3 1tbsp thrice after food. Aswagandharishta 1 tb thrice. Wth equal amount of water.

Hello there, This is Nasrat, 29 years old, I`m suffering form depression since last four years while I have last my beloved brother. So, I took different kinds of medications such as fluoxetine 20 mg, escitalopram 10 mg, paroxetine 10 mg, mirtazapine USP 15 mg, venlafaxine Hcl 75 mg, Lithium carbonate B.P. 400 mg etc. But still I have the same problem, difficulty in thinking (poor concentration, poor memory), excessive feel of guilt, loss of interest in most activities, sleep disturbances, decreased energy or tiredness, feeling of low self confidence, feeling of hopelessness, decrease in activity, excessive or inappropriate worries, anticipation of the worst, thoughts of suicide. Besides, I have premature ejaculation and no sexual desire. So, I`m really disappointed. Are there any solution for my problems? Its mentionable that when I was in Japan, I took Lorazepam (0, 5 mg), Brotizlolam (0, 25 mg), Trazodone (25 mg), Suvorexant (20 mg), Escitalopram (10 mg), Lansoprazole (15 mg) for 8 months, with those medications I felt very well, but unfortunately, when I returned to my country, there were no those medications available, and my depression attacked me again. So, dear doctors Please please please recommend me what to do? I`m not interested to live in this world but, I`m the only person to support my big family. At the same time, I took (Clarithromycin 500 mg, Amoxicillin 1000 mg 14 days), (Lansoprazole 30 mg 3 months) for positive h pylori but did not work. Again, I took (Clarithromycin 500 mg, metronidazole, Amoxicillin 1000 mg 14 days), (esomeprazole 40 mg 3 months) for positive h pylori but still I have the same issue. Your cooperation would be highly appreciated. Thank you so much in advance.

Dear lybrate-user,
You need a proper diagnosis before going in for treatment. If h pylori is confirmed, it needs active treatment. Premature ejaculation and loss of sexual desire also needs to be diagnosed and treated. At Japan, you were treated with Lorazepam (available in India). Instead of brotizolam, you can try etizolam available in India. Trazodone available in India. Suvorexant is another mild hypnotic. My son, 5 years completes by dec 16, vegetarian, no egg also. He was given VIDANGASAV in high doses (20 ml each time) several times to cure intestinal worms. This medicine caused intestinal ulcers to him and started vigorous coughing with intestinal pain and asthma. Doctor prescribed 1) cyclopam 3 days 2) zanocin 5 days 3) lanzol junior 15 on empty stomach for 10 days. As my son was complaining of anal itching, doctor also advised us to give single dose Albendazole 10 mg syrup 2 times in a span of one week. We completed all these above medicines, BUT, his 1) severe anal itching continues during daytimes and afternoons and nights also (especially just after completing his latrine/ stool excretion), 2) he is still complaining about stomach ache now and then, 3) he is complaining about head ache rarely 4) coughs often (no phlem in the lungs), phlem do not come into his mouth. OUR QUESTION IS 1) what is this anal itching he is suffering from. He says some kind of thing walking and pinching and pinning from inside rectum. May be piles? 2) do you advise us to continue lanzol junior 15 for few more weeks until his intestinal ulcer and associated cough and stomach ache gets cured? ->We use RO water (acid water) at home for the past 2 years, without Alkaline/ minerals cartridge. This also might have helped develop intestinal ulcer in his stomach. Now we changed this water and giving water mixed with minerals and high PH and TDS of around 300 ppm. -> He regularly goes to latrine 2 or 3 times. Please advise. Thank you very much.

My advise is to take homoeopathic treatment.

My son is 10.5 months old. He started solids from 6 months of age. From 7 months age he had blood in stool. Stool test showed pus cells and no occult blood. He used to get constipated. Then we gave him antibiotics. Again when he became 8 months he had blood in stool. Then again stool test was done and pus cells there and no occult blood. We gave him bacteria as prescribed by the paediatrician and did stool test again in few days. This time pus cells and occult blood was present. After 2 weeks of giving bacteria and junior lanzol tab and Neopeptine drops, stool test showed no issues. Now today again I saw some traces of blood and he has been pooping pellet shaped stools. For around 3 weeks I have been giving him more fruits and once oats or rava. Some days 2 times oats or rava. Could someone help me figure out why he is getting constipated so frequently. He is given water and pees frequently.

Constipation at this age is not routine. Blood in stool looks most probably due to constipation and not infection per say. Top milk and all refind flour food should be stopped. Fruits like banana or papaya to be given daily. If still hard stool persists then definitely need evaluation for underlying condition and medicine to be given.

My son his age 9 year, suffering juvenile idiopathic arthritis since June 2017. While riding bicycle he had fallen, his left knee has swelling and pain after X ray no bone broken, about 20 days his left knee has again swelling and pain, I went doctor with son, doctor done all test including MRI and declared that his suffer from juvenile arthritis. I went cmc vellore with my son for treatment. Doctor given some medicine, naproxen 250, folvite tab 5 mg, folitrax 10 mg, junior lanzol 15 mg, and ostocalcium. These medicines run about 2 month, but not cure. After doctor decided that gave asteroid his left knee. After asteroid his left knee was done but his right knee has swelling and pain start. Present time his treatment has going by Dr. komal Bhatt in dehradun. But not fully completed. Please give me right direction.

I am 70 years old having hypertension and diabetes for the last 35 years. At the age of sixty I had accrue mayo cardiac infarction and under went angiogram and found 3 blocks in the arteries. Had cabg and put 3 bypass and under medication. After six months of the surgery I had another minor heart attack and done angiogram and found two blocks in the bypass and put two stents. Recent echo results shoes 60% of the heart muscle is damaged and 40% only in good shape. Heart pumping is slow and pulse rate is 40 to 45 per minute only. Now I am having constant angina and taking medications for the heart, hypertension and diabetes. Medicines taking daily Rand 500 two times Imdur 70 one Clopidogrel 75 one Ecosprin 150 one Metolar XR 25 one amlopres 5 two atorlip 20 one Amaryl 1 mg two Januvia 50 one Losar H 50 mg one Losar 25 mg one Lan 30 one Blood test results are normal cholesterol, lever function, kidney function, psa and urine analysis. HBA1C 6.1 Now Dr. Said as per the recent echo test heart muscle is thinned and enlarged little and this caused slowdown the pumping. Any other treatment I should take to prevent the heart from further damage. Please. Advise.

First confirm that your blood sugar and blood pressure is under control, heart rate is regular. Then do an ECG. See if you have breathlessness. If you have constant anginal chest pain, Ramipril, a bets blocker such as Meyoprolol in slowly incremental doses. But you should consult a cardiolgist urgently in this regard.

What are other symptoms she is facing give just brief about them, location and side of pain ,is there nausea vomiting or loss of appetite .i think first of all you should consult with nearby physician and if does not cure after that bring her for whole abdomen ultrasound.

On 11 jun 2021, steve suffered (a) a bad persistent migraine through the entire day. The migraine worsened when Mr. butler stood up. When he stood up, he felt like his head was going to explode. (b) a bad chesty cough that worsened when he stood up from a seated position or when he moved. He had some phlegm on his chest but only a tiny amount of yellow phlegm was brought up when he coughed. (c) felt utterly exhausted. This feeling was not improved after rest. On 21 june 2021 he was admitted into hospital because steve felt like his lungs were closing up and he needed oxygen to breathe. He was diagnosed with covid-19 pneumonitis, superadded bacterial lower respiratory tract infection and low oxygen levels spo2 with las 85%. He was treated with - high flow nasal oxygen and continuous airway pressure for 8 days from 21 june - 28 june. - dexamethasone for 8 days whilst on respiratory support - bd vte prophylaxis for 8 days whilst on respiratory support - iv then oral co-amoxyclav in the morning of 2 july 2021, he took a liver blood test (alt). The result of the test is that it was rising (24, 52, 85, 225). The doctor said this was most likely related to the co-amoxyclav or dexamethasone received. In the afternoon of 2 july 2021, he was discharged. He was advised to take tinzaparin 4500 units continuously for 7 days to thin the blood to avoid the risk of blood clots in the legs or lungs. He was advised to take lansoprazole 30 mg to remedy his liver continuously for 7 days. On 5 july 2021. Another liver blood test was performed. The result was 300. How bad is this liver test result and is there any advice you can offer to help the liver recovery?
