If this period can come around the expected date, and flow is as usual, then there is no chance of pregnancy. I pill was not necessary but since you hav taken it so early in the period, it may not cause any problems.

Middle 10 days between thw two periods are most unsafe for sex. Use protection during these 10 days.

The best time is around the ovulation time. That generally falls around 14th day in a regular 28 day cycle. However can try from 10th day onwards till 16th day of the cycle.

Days other than this are considered safe, that is, the 1st-7th day of the cycle and then again from the 22nd to the 28th day.

Sex during 1st and last week of period starting from day one of period is the safe period. Avoid sex during 10th to 20th day of . it is the unsafe period and there is risk of pregnancy

If this is regularly happening, it is better that u should have a ultrasound done to find out the cause of severe pain. If menses are coming like this on a regular basis, that also can be cured with a 3 month course of medications. Also get your thyroid tested
