Good evening sir,
whole legumes, pulses and fruits are good source of potassium. But it not like that we need to restrict potassium intake for all kidney patients. Low potassium diets are recommended for kidney patients whose serum potassium levels are higher than normal. I would suggest you consult a clinical dietitian to plan a diet chart for the concerned patient.
