Hello, Thanks for the query.
There are many brands available which specifically mention as sugar free in the label. For example TUSQ -Dx cough syrup ask for sugar free. Similarly many brands also are available. You have to specify to the chemist that a sugar free cough syrup is needed. Thanks.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user
plain steam inhalation and breathing humidified air helps significantly and can be done more frequently in a day to provide some symptom relief. Generally most cough syrups are as good as another. Honey 2-3 ml as and when needed can also be equally helpful. Best consult a doctor to get a proper evaluation of your symptoms and start an appropriate treatment.
Best wishes.

You can. The point is why would you want to give medicine for cold. Cold is a viral infection which will go away on it’s own. Allow your child’s immunity to fight it. It will improve her resistance to such common infections. Use medication only if she is in genuine discomfort or developed a fever.

All drugs are potentially dangerous to small babies and should be given based on body weight. Action of this drug reduces after 5-6 hours.
