Always increased sperm count is not needed. And always I don't advise varicocelectomy. Consult doctor to find out other possible causes so that we can start treatment ASAP. Even men with no sperm count in semen can father a baby from their own sperms. All the best.

Dear lybrate user. Sperm Count. 40 million to 300 million is the normal range for the number of sperm per milliliter. Counts below 10 million are considered poor; counts of 20 million or more may be fine if motility and morphology are normal.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Normal sperm densities range from 15 million to greater than 200 million sperm per milliliter of semen. You are considered to have a low sperm count if you have fewer than 15 million sperm per milliliter or less than 39 million sperm total per ejaculate. But you are just 21 and you have enough time to improve your sperm count. Take care.

There are steps you can take at home to increase your chances of getting your partner pregnant, including:
1.Increasing the frequency of sex. Having sexual intercourse every other day from 5- 19 day after periods increases your chances of getting your partner pregnant.
2.Avoiding lubricants. Some products such as Astroglide or K-Y jelly, lotions, and saliva might impair sperm movement and function.
