The first step for males to get a good quality and quantity of sperms is to eat right. This means that males have to reach and maintain a healthy body weight. These hormones have a direct bearing on a man’s sex drive and the number of sperm produced. So remember, being too skinny is...more

Always increased sperm count is not needed. And always I don't advise varicocelectomy. Consult doctor to find out other possible causes so that we can start treatment ASAP. Even men with no sperm count in semen can father a baby from their own sperms. All the best.

Dear Lybrate user. Sperm cells are very tiny. You will be able to fit around a million cells in a single drop of semen. That is the wonder of nature. Take care.

Dear Lybrate user. I can understand. Normal sperm densities range from 15 million to greater than 200 million sperm per milliliter of semen. You are considered to have a low sperm count if you have fewer than 15 million sperm per milliliter or less than 39 million sperm total per ejaculate. But you are just 21 and you have enough time to improve your sperm count. Take care.

2.Avoiding lubricants. Some products such as Astroglide or K-Y jelly, lotions, and saliva might impair sperm movement and function.
