1.no alcohol3. No smoking/ tobacco/drugs/ avoid pollution
4. Diet - no ghee/ butter, have mix of vegetable oils - mustard, til, ground nut, olive oil, have more green vegetables and fruits, have whole grain atta, no fried. Fast. Spicy / processed/ junk food. Less sugar, potato, rice. Less salt.

Yes, you can change the medicines with suitable substitutes if the cost difference is huge. But, simply put the cost is often decided by various factors including quality. while Metformin it is oral diabetes medicine, it's work decreasing the glucose production of the body also decreasing the glucose absorption in the body, whereas sitagliptin is works regulating the level of insulin. type 2 diabetes Metformin are use.but I advise you to go for homoeopathic treatment because in homoeopathy there is Very good medicine for diabetes mellitus. and don't take medicine without doctor consultation.
