Hi lybrate-user, last 2 months would have been very distressing for you due to jock itch and increased humidity of summer. First of all do not use itch guard cream. As it makes the skin sensitive and might lead to irritation. Secondly, do not self treat fungal infection. Most of the times you will need an oral antifungal along with topical antifungal. Itch Guard Cream is composed of the following active ingredients (salts)
Clotrimazole
Boric acid
Ichtyolammonium or Ichthammol
Clotrimazole is antifungal
Boric acid & Ichtyolammonium or Ichthammol are nonspecific drugs not having any important antifungal action
moreover, main lesions and itching occur due to allergic reaction to fungal elements. So add steroid with clotrimazole.
So use Candid-B cream containing clotrimazole+ Beclomethasone (steroid)

Bathe daily, dry it , change the undergarments daily, wash them with hot water.
Tablet Fluconazole150 mg( one tab in one week ) once weekly for four weeks
Tablet Fexofenadine 120mg once daily for four five days for itching
Ointment Clotrimazole locally twice a day for four weeks

Skin diseases takes time to cure . So be patient and follow the regime for at least four weeks . If still this persist meet the doctor/Dermatologist

I suspect fungal infection take tablet fluconazole 150 mg one tablet once a week for 4 weeks tab terbinafine 250 mg one tablet daily for 14 days.
Apply clobeta gm on patch at night time.
