The insulin given by your doctor is based on clinical assessment of your health ( and sugar control ). Do not worry about the insulin. You can still discuss with your doctor about it ( do not stop or change or add any other medicine without his knowledge as it can be harmful to your health ). The best option which is safe is to correct your lifestyle and do some exercise and do some Yoga. Let your body improve itself with a disciplined healthy lifestyle. Hello, Thanks for the query.
You have T2 DM, (not T1). It is good to know that HbA1c% has come down to 6.9, that shows good control. You have to continue the same treatment and lifestyle.
As regards TSH level if it has not come down, then there is a need for increasing the dosage of Levothyroxine from 25 mcg to 50 mcg per day. Then check TSH after 6 weeks to see what is the impact. TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L, at which all the symptoms of hypothyroidism will be in check....more

Apart from all lifestyle modifications if the patient is under stress, tension and strain, blood glucose levels will not be under control. So try asking him to meditate, deep breathing exercises etc. Also the result varies from ran to person.
Consume Fresubin DM supplement 2 scoops in 200 ml low fat milk at 10 am and 10 pm daily until sugar levels are controlled.

Dear Lybrateuser, - Your blood sugar levels & Hb1ac levels are very high, consult your treating physician as you may require change of dose or medication
- also consult a dietician for your exact dietary requirements as a proper diet will help in regulating blood sugar levels - also do regular exercises walking, yoga to control the blood sugar level
- check blood sugar levels as advised & take medicines on time.

Hi Mr. lybrate-user! as you have chronic pancreatitis, I would advise you not to take sitagliptin and other drugs belonging to that class, i.e, dpp4 inhibitors. Good that you stopped it. As the sugars, especially fasting bloood sugars are high inspite of taking a high dose of tablets, you may consider taking insulin at night which will bring down the fasting value.

Hi thanks for posting your query. Well yes you need to continue all these medications lifelong. But there are combination medications like ecospirin gold ( can be used as replacement for clopilet+rozavel f ). Prolomet is an blood pressure medicine which can be reduced only if your blood pressure is under good control. Jerk in nerves indicate neuropathy-- means nerve damage. It is a complication of diabetes. I would recommend you to get nerve conduction study of your legs and revert back.
