My wife is 25th week pregnant. Doctor prescribed isoxsuprine hydrochloride 20 mg daily 2 times. Can you please guide the purpose of using these tablets and if any side effects.

It's a vasodilator and relieved mild pain, commonly traded as duvadilan tabs, which is safely used during pregnancy, it helps in relaxing uterus so that the baby gets enough pace to grow.

Hello, I am 26 weeks pregnant and doctor told me that baby's head is down before time and prescribed "duvadilan retard (isoxsuprine capsules sustained release" tablet 40 mg once a day. My question is 1) is this medicine good to take for this condition 2) is baby's head down position can lead to any problem like early labour. 3) will the baby's position will remain the same till delivery or it may change. 3) do I have to any precautions for it 4) can I do everyday walking. Please help me mam.

Please relax, there is nothing to worry.
Duvadilan tablets are not to be used. The baby position is not of much importance till 34 weeks. The baby constantly moves and the position of the baby will change of course you do your walking and other normal activities every day.

My gums gave me duvadilan retard tabs while I was 38 weeks pregnant after pv exam saying that my baby was lil transverse so take this every night to relax your uterus to get enough space for the baby to move & correct the position & she also told me to take rest while on this tabs. i took this for 10 days & when my due date reached I was having no pain and no labor symptoms and ended up having section after 2 days. I searched online & found that duvadilan is isoxsuprine which is for delaying labor for some days. Does this mean that I was given these tablets to delay labor and relax my uterus from the contractions & pain and worked as a painkiller to just earn money by doing c-section and eliminating normal delivery bcz I had full chances of normal delivery?

If baby is transverse then there is no chance of normal delivery. Infact your doctor is right to give you time that baby might change the position.

Female age 24 years having pregnancy of 6 months 15 days as on today. I have fibroid outside the uterus. Doctor recommended the treatment as 1. Gestofit 200 mg 2. Maintane 3. Feredet 4. Cal 360 5.argipreg sachet 6 mg 6. tidilan 10 mg all medicines are on daily basis since I am pregnant doctor recommended complete bed rest but I have my annual exam from 22 may 2019 to 2 june 2019. When I asked the Dr. About the exam doctor completely refused to allow me for exams and said that your pregnancy is complicated so avoid your master degree exam this year but my one year got wasted. I am taking this treatment since pregnancy. I met the doctor on 20th may 19 doctor said everything is ok heartbeat is also ok. But Dr. suggested do not attempt any kind of exam. Please help me in this situation and let me know is this treatment ok.

you should have faith in your doctor , and if have any doubt you can always take second opinion . Going for exam if it is important then you should tell your doctor and follow the precautions they advice you.

I am 23 weeks pregnant. Its my 2nd pregnancy. Age of my previous child was 19 month. I delivered hin by c section. Yesterday my Dr. Told me to take duvadilan retard 40 mg twice and also give calcium and vitamin tablet. Earlier I was taken duphaston 10, folvite and ecosprin 75. Now he told me to stop duphaston and folvite. I want to know that is duvadilan safe or is it necessary to take this medicine? What was the purpose of this medicine.

Tab duvadilan can be safely taken during pregnancy.
It's a tocolytic ,it's given during pregnancy if patient is having irritable uterus or premature labour pains ,or if patient has history of preterm delivery in the past or if the doctor on examination feels that patient may go into preterm labour

I am 27 week pregnant during my 1st trimester doc gave me progesterone because always I had pain like periods n menstrual cramp. Later I always had lower abdominal pain and at 18 weeks I had done anomaly scan in that my cervix length was 3.0 cm doc advised me take tidilan retard tablet to avoid risk of early pregnancy. After that I came to mom's place for delivery at 5 month. Here I consulted gyaenic she checked all my reports n advised to take ecosprin tablet after taking the tablet I had gas problem so I stopped and during my 25th week done my ultrasound in that cephalic presentation is seen and cervix length is 4.6 cm again I had pain in abdomen doctor gave me progesterone for a month. I am having thyroid since 2 years taking 100 mg dose and during first trimester my bp increased so am taking alphadopa twice a day. Now I want to know whether cervix length will increase? Asa I know cervix length will decrease when baby grows but in my 18 week scan it showed 3.0 now in 25 week report it's 4.6 cm.

Nothing to worry about cervical length, as short cervical length is a danger sign, nothing to concern if it is 4.6 or 3, it's all normal.

Safe but not of much use. Besides you need b-Complex, Folic acid, DHA or Omega-3, Protein, vaccinations, reports.

Duvadilan tablet is to be taken only if you have preterm labour pain and can only be prescribed by a doctor. Donât take it long term if not needed. Low molecular weight heparin can be taken along with it, if prescribed.

The tablet is unnecessary.
Low lying placenta is seen in many pregnancies, in the first trimester. In 97% cases it will move up as the baby grows and uterus increases in size. You will have scans in 5th month, and again close to 8th month to check position of placenta.
The advised treatment is to avoid sex, and strenuous activities. No medications help.
