It is not just another pill or vitamin that you can take it on your own. It is a drug/ schedule h medicine - that means it has lot of known side effects. Also there is a particular dose of this medicine that you can take in a year. Self medication of this medicine can be harmful. Please keep a record of how much medicine you have taken and discuss pro s and con's with a consultant dermatologist. You can privately consult me if you like.

please don't self treat. The treatment of acne differs according to the grade of involvement. Some people have more oilyness on the face which results in breakouts. After completing treatment for controlling the active breakouts, tablets can be stopped and creams need to be continued to prevent recurrence. Diet and lifestyle modifications are also important. Hi lybrate-user. Do not get distressed about your present condition. Always remember stress makes things worse than what it already is. Isotretinoin makes your skin sensitive to hyperpigmentation and tanning not just with direct sun exposure but also to the sunlight inside your home and to the gadget lights (very powerful) and tv light. So remember to always wear your sunscreen even at home and to re apply it after 4-6 hrs. Pls do not try any self/home remedies for this pigmentation you are expe...more
