In my opinion you are on wrong advise. Forecox is same as rehz and adding only streptomycin to failing treatment is not good. Get culture and sensitivity for afb and add four new anti tb drugs under supervision of respiratory physician.

Hi⦠3 tablets of ripe fd kit should be taken together in fasting state as per your body weight ⦠otherwise you can switch to akurit 4 4 tablets all before breakfast⦠look for paradoxical phenomenon or drug resistanceâ¦if it is paradoxical phenomenon need to add oral steroids in tapering doses along with anti tuberculosis medications⦠better consult chest physician nearby. Get genexpert from lymph node aspirate. Get complete pus drainage.

If 9 months of treatment is over, att should be stopped. In cervical tb lymphadenitis, the nodes in the neck may shrink/ enlarge or new nodes can appear on the other side, all happens during the course of treatment. This doesn't mean that att didn't work or tb wasn't cured. The nodes will eventually disappear, or tiny nodes may remain in the neck permanently.

ATT is usually taken for 6 months. After 2 months, pyrazinamide is stopped and other medications should be continued.
In your case case, i suggest you to repeat a CXR to look for the response and amount of remaining fluid. Also continue rifampicin, isoniazid and ethambutol for atleast 3 more months. You can stop pyrazimamide.

Dear lybrate-user,
your doctor has diagnosed your problem as a peripheral neuropathy and investigations are not going to add anything extra, the detailed examination by your doctor using "instruments and pins" is commendable. He has treated you also corectly. Kidney disease is often complicated by peripheral neuropathy. I sincerely advise that you follow your neurologist.
