There is no any documented interaction between the two. However erythromycin inhibits cytochrome enzyme which metabolises isotretinoin. So it may cause side effects if the doses are high. You can also use alternative to erythromycin to be on safe side.

How many mg of Isotane were you taking? It could be lower dose than required which will not give the same effect. If your lips are peeling off and drying then it may be the proper dose. You should use Ethiglo Facewash daily and apply Sebonac Gel at night. Also, use a good gel based non-oily sunscreen in the morning.
