I am 80+ year old. I am suffering from t2 diabetes for last 15 years. How do doctors prescribe medicines? is there any co-relation between fasting & pp sugar reading and medicines prescribed. Currently I am onmetformin 500mg+2mg glimiperide before lunch and before dinner. My average fasting sugar currently is 100 and pp is 149. Is the dose correct? can it be reduced?

Your sugar levels are very well controlled. Please make sure you don't get hypoglycemic episodes otherwise dose adjustment has to be done.

I had my treatment started for this month. Starting with clomid on cycle day 3, and from day 7th, 8th and 9th I am getting gonadotropin injections (Humog Hp 150iu), upon asking my specialist also has given MHR tablet (Folic acid 5 MG Methylcobalamin 1500 MCG Pyridoxine 20 MG). She also prescribed progynova tablets daily night. Should I do anything more to make this IUI successful. Please suggest this is my 2nd IUI.

You have to start iron and calcium tablets so better visit a gynaecologist who would check your bp, weight and baby's growth and would advise you accordingly.

Hi, My vitamin B12 level is 124 pg/mL. Doctor prescribed me to take 4 Renerve injection for alternate days. And taking Neurobion plus tab 1-0-1 for 10 days and 0-0-1 for 20 days. Now I want to know what if I take Renerve Plus injection instead of Renerve? As Renerve plus constitutes Pyridoxine and Niacin lacks of what can cause depressive symptoms (I too have anxiety and depression).

Dear Sampad,
If you want, you can take Renerve plus. If you don't have pyridoxine and niacin deficiency, it will be excreted since they are water soluble vitamins.

If vomiting is excess she might require hospital admission.
She can take frequent small meals.
Walk after every meal.
Avoid spicy and oily.
Be hydrated.

Hi doctor, I took chemical peel and 1 session of laser for pimple prone n scars skin on face. The effects did not last more than 2 weeks. Then my dermatologist prescribed panderm plus for pimples, wysolone tablet and momate gel for scars but warned to use only sometimes. I never are wysolone and applied momate only twice in a month but panderm plus worked like a miracle for my pimples. However I left my country n could not get in touch with my dermatologist so I decided to check how often can I use panderm plus. On reading people's comments I got worried about side effects. Though I m only getting good effects till now I have been using it since a month on n off n since last week regularly. I m now afraid should I continue it. If not what should I do about my acne they never cease to come coz I hv pcos problem n I have tried all medicines for acne pcos that's y retorted to chemical peels n lasers which also didn't work. Only panderm gave me clear pimple free skin now I m afraid of stopping it.

It is disturbing that you are using panderm plus cream that I understand contains ofloxacin, ornidazole (antibacterials), terbinafine (antifungal) and clobetasol (very potent steroid) on your face. No. Kindly wait for few days. And start again. Isoniazid Nd rifampin regime is outdated. At present isoniazid Nd rifampin and ethambutol is considered. Nd infact pyrazinamide has less liver toxicity as compared to rifampin.
