Hi and thanks for question. If you have delusion and symptoms resolved with injection so why you want to stop. U can take ayurvedic treatment with it and first shift on medicine than gradually decrease the dose of drug with your ayurvedic treatment. When you r on low dose with auyervedic treatment and no such symptoms present than stop medicine but if symptoms worsen than continue psychotropic medicine. Thanks.

Hello Friend, Good that you are seeking a help here. I agree. Your long-term medication has caused some cure and side effects. It's still not too late to revamp your treatment approach to overcome this problem. I have a question. What actions in addition to medication, that you have taken in the past to support your treatment?
Have you adopted any excersise routine, yoga, self therapies, lifestyle changes, dietary changes, counseling? I am sure you must be aware that medicine are just one pa...more

I am 21 years old male. While studying in college 1st and 2nd year college I studied well. In the starting of 3rd year, I went to hostel. In the hostel, anyone didn't allow me to study and misused me and they stole my things. As a result ,I got many arrears and I think why they are doing such a things to me. And I often get unwanted thoughts of suicide and I get shooting pains and unwanted shaking of body. I suffered a lot. I also have feeling that someone is watching me and controlled by someone. Then by saying to parents we went to a psychiatrist and he said that I have some mood disorders and preferred medicines such as clozapine etc. Then, whenever I went to hospital he put intramuscular injection that is Invega Sustenna. This is continued for 1 year. Due to these medications I have side effects such as dry mouth, weight gain etc. I get dreams about the friends who misused me. After taking these medicines I get unwanted thoughts but not frequently as before. How to get complete rid of unwanted thoughts? Can I stop taking medicines? Whether the side effects will go away? If not there is a solution in Ayurveda?

You are being treated for schizophrenia and it is a serious mental disease. Although this is a long time and you will probably remain so on medication you must still persevere. Schizophrenia is a very complex and difficult disease to treat, even with medication. All psychotropic medicines have side-effects: that is inescapable. But I suspect that you are depending entirely on medication when in reality you need to combine it with counseling or therapy. In therapy you will learn a lot of coping m...more

If you have been stabilized with amisulpiride and sizopin , its better to continue the same treatment. if you have any side effects or if there is no improvement, then only you think of changing the medication. As such paliperidone has no serious side effects but can cause stiffness of muscles and shaking in some pts.

The dose of the medication is usually increased if necessary after considering various factors by your wife's treating psychiatrist. I believe that you have a good measure of timelines since you have encountered the same issue in october of 2014 and the medication was given monthly for only two months and it was not satisfactory. Since another medication was given in july of 2015 we would need to know why symptoms your wife is having and what are her diagnoses before giving you suggestions. We w...more
