I recommend to control your sugar level 1) a healthy and well balanced diet having regular meals. Divide your meals into 5 to 6 times.
2) one teaspoon of methi seeds soaked overnight in 100 ml of water is very effective in controlling diabetes
3) good fats such as omega-3 and monounsaturated fats (mufa) should be consumed as they are good for the body like olive oil
4) diet should be high in fiber. Let whole grain cereals & flour, salad vegetables, green leafy vegetables & fruits.

lybrate-user, Insulin is essential in T1 diabetes as there is no other drug that works in that condition. If you have T2 diabetes then unless diabetes is very severe with blood glucose levels over 300 to 400 mg/100 ml, there may be no need to start with Insulin. There are enough good drugs available which give excellent glucose control. Thanks.

Glaucoma, does occur as a complication of uncontrolled diabetes. Most important is to achieve a strict blood sugar control. Good control means fasting should be 100 mg & pp around 150 to 160 mg/100 ml. & hba1c% <7.

Two insulins are somewhat superior to other insulins, glargine, degludec.
But more importantly probably you will have to take more than one injection to control your sugar, consult a pysician in person.

Hello, please continue with insulin as doctor prescribed. If there is a possibility, doctor should have suggested the medicine instead. Its good to control your diabetes. But along with medication, you need to concentrate on food also. Make sure you food must have high protein, fiber and omega-3 nutrition. For a diabetics, its good to have more protein rather than carbohydrates, which converts into glucose and may have a chance to increase the diabetes. What we suggest is the nutrigemoic protein...more

If you have type 2, which includes 90% to 95% of all people with diabetes, you may not need insulin.
Of adults with diabetes, only 14% use insulin, 13% use insulin and oral medication, 57% take oral medication only, and 16% control blood sugar with diet and exercise alone.
Kindly mention your blood sugar levels and revert

That is not a rule. It all depends upon each individual case and how the body responds to the treament. The intension is to bring the sugar levels under control with least medications. If one tries to lead a very healthy lifestyle and be sincere in daily routine then the medicines required will be least. Daily exercise ( including yoga ) and eating in moderation ( eat healthy and balanced diet while avoiding refined and processed food and outside beverages ) can help in healing the body natural...more
